Introduction

At AfricaMediaPro (AMP), we are committed to ensuring that all of our partners—whether they are local African publishers or international publishers—operate in alignment with Google’s policies and uphold the highest standards of digital advertising. To maintain transparency, trust, and compliance, we have set specific requirements for resellers and their online publisher clients to prevent fraud, abuse, and non-compliance with Google Ad Manager policies. Below, we explain our reasoning and outline the conditions for working with AMP.

Why We Have Set These Requirements

AMP works closely with publishers to help them expand their reach and increase revenue from digital advertising. Without clear standards, there is a risk of misuse of Google’s advertising platforms, which can lead to account suspensions or even permanent bans. These requirements are designed to protect both our resellers and the publishers they serve from the risks of non-compliance with Google’s rules. This is essential for maintaining a secure and compliant advertising ecosystem, allowing all parties to benefit from sustainable growth and protection.

Reseller Requirements

To be eligible for collaboration with AMP, resellers who manage online publishers and are looking to arrange Google AdX access through AMP must meet the following conditions:

  1. Business Legitimacy:
    – The reseller must be a registered legal entity with a proven track record of providing Google Ad Manager (GAM) services for at least two years.
    – Reseller should have a solid and consistent web presence with a proper privacy policy and valid contact details
    – The person signing on behalf of the reseller is required to provide a copy of a legal identity document to verify their identity.
    – The reseller must already have a contract with at least one other party and provide a signed version of that contract as proof.
    – Resellers are only allowed to onboard publishers that meet the required qualifications and adhere to Google policies.
  2. Compliance: Full adherence to Google’s Publisher Program policies, including but not limited to ad placement and content guidelines, is mandatory.
  3. Experience and Expertise: The reseller must demonstrate sufficient experience in handling Google Ad Manager (GAM) and AdX, with proof of successful partnerships with online publishers.
  4. Fraud Prevention Measures: The reseller must have systems in place to detect and prevent invalid traffic (IVT) and other forms of ad fraud.
  5. Transparency: Resellers must commit to full transparency with both AMP and the online publishers they manage regarding revenue-sharing models, reporting, and Google policies.
  6. Collaboration Agreement: Signing a formal agreement with AMP outlining the shared responsibilities and compliance expectations.

Online Publisher Requirements

For a reseller to request an invitation for an online publisher (whether local or international) to be admitted as a Managed Account within AMP’s Google AdX partnership, the following publisher criteria must be met:

  1. Google Payments History: The publisher must have received at least three payments of at least $2,000 per month from Google, demonstrating a consistent track record of earnings through their AdSense account.
  2. Traffic and Quality:
    – At least 75k monthly pageviews
    – The publisher must have less than 5% of deductions due to Invalid Traffic (IVT).
    – The site must not receive any malicious bot traffic, loading traffic, or proxy traffic, ensuring that the traffic is organic and compliant with Google standards.
  3. Site Structure: The publisher’s website must have a good, user-friendly site structure that facilitates easy navigation, fast load times, and a positive user experience, which aligns with best practices for ad placement and performance.
  4. Policy Violation: The online publisher should not have been involved in a Google policy violation in the last 2 years

Recommended:

  • Minimum of 50 Articles or posts (With Date And Source Of Information)
  • The domain must be 6 months old and all important pages should be on the publisher site.
  • Page within the website with the information:
    – Contact

    – Menu with categories (easy navigation)
    – All categories must contain posts
    – All posts must be dated
    – Articles must contain the name of the person or the company responsible for the content (editor)
    – The articles/posts cannot all have the same date
    – The site cannot contain duplicate images in different materials
    – Compliance with applicable privacy laws including cookie requirements

By meeting these criteria, publishers ensure compliance with both AMP and Google’s guidelines, promoting long-term, sustainable success.
